Matt Gratton is a Sleep Researcher and Doctoral Student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Kansas. He also holds graduate research assistantship at the University of Kansas Medical Center and an honorary associateship at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He received his Bachelors of Psychology at the University of Kansas. His research goals are focused on leveraging informatics techniques to help characterize and better treat behavioral sleep disorders. He lives in Kansas City with his wife, their son, his cat, and her dog.

This study sought to examine stress, sleep quality, and rumination as possible predictors of stress symptoms related to COVID-19 within a sample of 88 medical professionals. Frequencies were compared using an ANOVA test. Submitted to ISTSS 2021 Conference.

A Pandemic's Impact on Nightmare Frequency

In this study, we performed a retrograde analysis of 2,126 undergraduate students from the years 2017 to 2020 to compare sleep quality and disordered symptoms from before and during the novel Covid 19 pandemic. Frequencies were compared using an ANOVA test. Presented at SLEEP 2021 Conference.

This study saw the creation of two implicit association tests for each of the study focused prejudices (LGBT, Race). The study utilized data collected pre and post meditation to compare the efficacy of meditation in reducing prejudice using an ANOVA test. Presented poster at MPA 2021 conference.
